Former National Scribe of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists,
Lucy Chindaba presently vying for the position of the association’s
national president is set to face the Credentials Committee for screening
later today.
The former scribe was accompanied by on the trip to Abuja by the Plateau
State Chairman of the association, Jennifer Yarima and other executive
members of the association.
The team left Jos for Abuja yesterday and arrived late but was able to put
finishing touches in anticipation of the screening this morning.
Reports indicates that all the prospective aspirants are to be screened as
required by the association’s procedures before the delegates conference.
The venue of the screening is the National Secretariat of the Nigeria Union
of Journalists, Jabi in Abuja.
During her two time tenure, Lucy Chindaba was believed to have performed
creditably well thus accepted by a cross section of the association who
desires her leadership to salvage the association.
