Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has described the late Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Chief Dagwuk Fompun and Makaman Mangu as a thorough bred Civil Servant and a committed Plateau citizen.

Lalong who spoke at the funeral service of the deceased at the Baptist Alheri Church, Zaria road  Jos, weekend, stressed that the late Chief DG Fompun as he was fondly called was an epitome of service.

Represented by his Deputy Professor Sonni Tyoden, Lalong said the deceased who died in active service was  known for his humility, competence, loyalty and truthfulness.

Governor Lalong while conveying condolences on behalf of the government, urged the deceased children to look at the trajectory of his life and give thanks to God.

Speaking on behalf of his friends, Mr Samuel Gajere and Community Leader, described Chief Fompun as a true friend  who was a frank and detribalised person and expressed condolences to the Plateau State government as well as the family.
