Village Head of Kunyi Afetu (Gondola), Jos North Local Area of Plateau State, Ada Agwom Azi has called on all village heads to unite youth leaders of the area for the betterment of the community.

Ada Agwom Azi gave the remarks at the oath taking ceremony that took place at the security outpost, Gondola Village, Nassarawa Gwong of Jos North LGA on Saturday.

Azi said, “today marks the beginning of good things that would happen to the youths of Gondola village.

The EXCO must work as a “team for the unity of the community to wax stronger, because no victory comes with divisive minds saying,” united we stand, divided we fall.

Former Management Committee Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council, Hon. Dauda Barde appreciated the youths of the community for their unity in conducting themselves peacefully towards electing leaders of their choice.

That shows that there is unity among the youths.

Barde encouraged them to give the newly elected Exco the maximum support and cooperation in order to move the community forward and he prayed that the swearing in ends well.

Responding, the newly elected Youth Leader, Mr. Fwangmun Dashuwa, appreciated the youths of Gondola village and promised to carry everybody along and he noted that leadership requires collective efforts, saying he needs the cooperation of the village heads and people of the community to succeed because he alone cannot do it without their support.

Dashuwa, used the medium to publicly request and pleaded with the community to give them the keys to the container which is supposed to be the security outpost, in order to kick start work immediately, while written documents will follow appropriately.

Those elected and sworn-in by Barrister Anna Nakom Yilsu, included Mr. Fwangmun Dashuwa, Youth Leader, Mr. David Tunwagun, Asst Youth Leader, Kilobas Terle, Secretary, Hannah Sunday, Asst. Secretary, Victoria Madaki, Financial secretary, Doris Golshang, Treasurer, Nenmene Danjuma P.R.O 1.

Others include Adawe Sunday PRO 2, Arin Caleb, Provost Marshal 1, Samuel Titus, Provost Marshal 2, Bitrus Dogo, Director of Sports, Amos Joshua Oluwatobi, Director of Social, Hon. Sunday Toma, Welfare.

Some residence of the community who spoke to our correspondents praised the leadership of Gondola for their effort to bring youths together to elect leaders and urged them to look into the various challenges confronting the community with a view to assisting where necessary.Dignitaries at the swearing in ceremony included the District Head of Fudawa village, Ada Agwom Haruna Itse Izang, represented by Ada Agwom John Atsen Itse, ELCOM Chairman, Nandom Songle, PYC Chairman Jos North Local Government Council, Barr. J. K. Chris represented by Comr. Atsen Yakubu Arin, Vice Chairman PYC Gwong District, village heads of Gondola and the Mai Angwa of Gondola village, present.
